Overview

M/s. Soma Srinivas Reddy Engineers & Contractors (SSREC) embarked on its journey with a clear purpose — to bring responsible, scientific, and sustainable solutions to Construction & Demolition (C&D) waste management in urban India.

Recognizing the growing environmental challenges caused by unscientific disposal of construction waste, SSREC identified an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by transforming waste into valuable resources while protecting rivers, hills, and urban ecosystems.

With strong engineering roots and deep operational expertise, SSREC has evolved into a comprehensive C&D waste management solution provider, delivering end-to-end services including collection, transportation, segregation, processing, and recycling. Our operations are fully aligned with the C&D Waste Management Rules, 2016, ensuring compliance, transparency, and environmental responsibility at every stage.

Over the years, SSREC has earned the trust of municipal bodies, infrastructure agencies, and private developers by consistently delivering reliable and high-quality services. Through the adoption of modern recycling technologies and multi-stage processing systems, we convert construction waste into reusable materials such as recycled sand, aggregates, and other eco-friendly construction inputs.

Our authorized recycling facilities and dedicated logistics network have enabled us to collect and process over 4.5 million metric tons of C&D waste, significantly reducing illegal dumping and minimizing dependency on natural river sand and hill quarry materials.

At SSREC, we firmly believe that sustainable development and growth must go hand in hand with environmental stewardship. Guided by our core philosophy — “Save Rivers & Save Hills” — we remain committed to building cleaner cities, conserving natural resources, and supporting India’s transition towards a circular economy.

What is C&D WASTE?

Construction and demolition (C&D) waste is generated from construction, renovation, repair, and demolition of houses, large building structures, roads, bridges, piers, and dams. C&D waste is made up of wood, steel, concrete, gypsum, masonry, plaster, metal, and asphalt. C&D waste is notable because it can contain hazardous materials such as asbestos and lead. Estimates vary, but a commonly accepted estimate is that between 15% and 20% of municipal solid waste comes from construction and demolition projects.

C&D Waste is risky ?

If construction & demolition is not managed properly can be a huge urban menace. C&D Waste is a major source of air pollution. Designated landfill sites are occupying huge real estate and land worth billions of dollars are buried under C&D waste. Rampant illegal dumping in lakes and rivers is also destroying our water bodies
